Concert review: Iron Maiden in Ft. Lauderdale
I’ve been away from the site for a couple of months not realizing I hadn’t posted about the Ft. Lauderdale concert. Sorry about that. For those that don’t know, Maiden was in Ft. Lauderdale on April 2nd. In any event, I’ve been told by friends that were able to make it to the show that Maiden will be back in Florida in 2011.
I finally found a group that I know Maiden fans will love. I’ve been waiting for them to put out a song that I thought showcased thier talents and now they finally have.

Not exactly a greatest hits album this CD represents some of the best songs from the first album to Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son. Several of the songs are the live versions from Live after Death. Honestly you won’t really be getting anything new at all. For the most part this is meant to recapture the Live After Death days which is evident from the order of the 1st 4 songs and the use of several songs from that album. What makes this album truly special is that artist Derek Riggs returned to do the cover art. That was enough to get me to buy a CD featuring songs I already had and it probably will be for you as well if you an an old school Maiden fan. I really can’t point to one song on this album and say that’s the best because everyone has their favorites.

The new design for MaidenFlorida.com is now complete! All aspects of the old site have been incorporate into the all-new MaidenFlorida.com. While I liked the move to Blogger I felt that having WordPress on my own site was a much better way to go.

Nearly 2 years ago I lost the domain StrangeNewWorld.net as a result of a billing mix-up with my registrar GoDaddy.com. They wanted $80 to recover the name!
The name eventually went unregistered and I was able to re-register it this week! MaidenFlorida.com will remain the address for this site but it’s nice to have the original domain name back. StrangeNewWorld.net was the main address of this site from Dec. 25, 2000 until August 30, 2003 when it was changed to MaidenFlorida.com.
